Behringer Introduces Europort EPS500MP3 The Behringer Europort EPS500MP3 PA System is a marvel of modern engineering, ideally-suited for musicians, DJs, schools, gyms, or anyone seeking an easy-to-use, high-quality portable and lightweight audio solution, the company says. The compact system is easy to setup and simple to use and features an eight-channel 500W powered mixer with built-in MP3 player and wireless mic capability; two separate loudspeakers, each with a custom-designed 8" woofer and 1" compression driver; and a storage compartment for the included XM1800S mic and cabling. Despite its diminutive size, the EPS500MP3 comes loaded with features that even a professional will admire. The eight-channel powered mixer can be left attached to the back of the speaker or detached for easy positioning and access. Channels one to four, which feature Behringer's legendary XENYX Mic Preamps, accept balanced XLR mics as well as balanced and unbalanced ¼" line-level sources. Phantom power is provided for studio-grade condenser mics, and each channel has its own two-band EQ. Stereo channels accommodate both RCA and ¼" inputs. A unique music/speech filter allows the user to select preferred optimization: music, with its broad frequency response, or speech, with increased intelligibility for announcements. Plus, EPS500MP3's user-controllable Voice-Over-Priority function can be activated to automatically lower the stereo channels when a mic is in use. ULM wireless microphone technology is built-in -- just connect the mic receiver (mics and receiver sold separately) to the dedicated port for up to two channels of stable, natural-sounding wireless performance. A great-sounding digital reverb processor rounds out the package. The Europort EPS500MP3 will arrive in retail stores in Q2 and is covered by the company's comprehensive three-year warranty program.
