Roscolux #359 Benefits Behind the Scenes Rosco Laboratories and The ESTA Foundation have announced the presentation by Mark Engel, president of Rosco, of a check for the third annual royalty payment to Behind the Scenes from sales of the color Roscolux #359 Medium Violet. Engel presented the check on the show floor at USITT in Charlotte. Engel said, "This year's check is the largest we've written, which indicates that this violet is gaining popularity with designers around the world. The 2011 contribution we are pleased to present is $2,889, bringing the total contribution since the introduction of Roscolux #359 Medium Violet to over $8,000." Rick Rudolph, chair of the Behind the Scenes committee and a member of The ESTA Foundation board of directors, accepted the check, saying, "We are very grateful to Rosco for this wonderful ongoing program that allows designers to support Behind the Scenes while realizing their artistic vision. Programs like this allow people in all areas of our industry to support Behind the Scenes as part of their daily activities and we encourage other vendors to develop programs which allow them to partner with their customers in charitable activities." The ESTA Foundation's Behind the Scenes program provides entertainment technology industry members with grants for emergency situations created by serious illness, injury or death.
