Artistic Licence Will Preview sundial Quad at Light School -- Part of Surface Design Show, London Artistic Licence will be previewing sunDial quad, its new DMX/RDM controlled mains dimmer, at Light School, February 5 - 7 at London's Business Design Center in stand LS428. Using trailing-edge technology, the product provides smooth dimming of LED, CFL or incandescent sources, with exceptional performance down to 0% for LED COB bulbs. Also on show, Artistic Licence will show its award-winning DMX controller, matisse. Artistic Licence CEO and product designer, Wayne Howell, will be present throughout the show to answer questions. sunDial quad is unlike any trailing-edge dimmer currently found on the consumer market. The Artistic Licence product offers a professional solution for dimming LED replacement bulbs, with four user-selectable dimming curves providing optimum results for a broad range of fixtures. Rated at 250W per channel, the product can also comfortably handle CFL or incandescent sources. sunDial has been designed to be extremely resilient, with intelligent features that reduce ongoing maintenance needs. Active de-rating ensures that the product scales back if it approaches its maximum operating temperature. When the internal temperature sensors detect that it has cooled sufficiently, full operation is resumed. Self-healing outputs shut down in response to over-current, short-circuit, and over-temperature situations. Normal operation resumes without user intervention when the fault has passed. sunDial quad features: * Trailing-edge mains dimmer * DMX/RDM controlled * Compatible with LED replacement bulbs, CFL, or incandescent sources * Four output channels, 250W each * Option to bridge two channels for 500W * Choice of four dimming curves * RDM sensors for temperature and current * Sophisticated automatic heat and current management * CAT III rated for installation directly into Distribution Boards Winner of a 2018 PLASA Award for Innovation, Artistic Licence's matisse DMX dimmer will be in action on the stand. Matisse is a programmable, multi-function DMX controller presented in a wall-mount format. All the electronics are mounted on the rear of the panel, so there is no need for external control boxes. * Wall mount DMX controller * DMX512 output * Sin illuminated faders or four rotary dials * 512 channel output * Grand master control * Multiple functions including preset, scene mixer, hue fader, and merge mode * Supports data merging (LTP/HTP per channel) and data fixing * Simple DIP switch configuration * Easy push-button programming -- no external software required * Link multiple panels to one DMX cable * Custom panel finish and silk screen available on special order for the f6 * Various stock material finishes, including chrome and brushed steel, for the d4 * External 9-24 VDC PSU required Custom panel finish and silk screen available on special order. The sister product to matisse, the company's moody range provides versatile DMX, DALI, or constant voltage dimming control via an attractive and user-friendly interface.
