displayLED Takes Record-Breaking Number of Orders at 10th InfoComm"The fact that we were taking orders on the spot on the stand shows how much the LED screen market is maturing," says displayLED CEO, Graham Burgess. "In my 25 years in this business it's rare to take orders on the exhibition floor, but we took a record number at InfoComm 2013," he reveals. "This was a great InfoComm and we weren't the only ones to notice; numerous people mentioned that the show really had its buzz back, which points to a positive outlook for the pro AV market," says sales director, Guy Horrigan. In terms of visitors there was a definite trend towards high resolution screens, with particular interest in 2mm, 3mm, and 5mm products, the team reports. Products showcased on the displayLED booth included: • digiLED MC and MK series -- 7mm, 10mm, and 15mm, CE and FCC certified AV rental modules with TV mode for image quality in low brightness applications. • The bendable, magnetic digiFLEX tiles -- already widely used for fixed installations, TV studios, and rock and roll tours. • The digiLED HRi3 -- designed specifically for high-end AV rental applications and offering great greyscale performance, high refresh rates, and seamless mechanics. • The LEDlocator range -- sourced by its Shenzhen buying team, included CS5.0mm and CS3.9mm, both billed as value products for the AV rental, retail, and advertising markets. Also launched at the show was digiLED's Image Optimization Technology (IOT), developed for the TV studio market and concert touring applications, IOT ensures quality image reproduction in any situation. The powerful new processing system maintains full 16-bit greyscale depth down to around 5% brightness, for images free of contouring and quantizing.
