Jimmy Cannon, General Manager of 4Wall New York, Dies at 59

Jimmy Cannon

Jimmy Cannon, longtime general manager of 4Wall New York, passed away December 28 from complications related to a ruptured aneurysm. He was 59.

After a brief stint in the Army, Cannon became an employee of BASH Theatrical Lighting, working there for his uncle, Bob Cannon, and Don Stern for almost 20 years.

He later joined 4Wall, working for cousin and CEO Michael Cannon while helping to establish the first 4Wall office in Las Vegas. He made his final career move when he relocated back to New Jersey to assist in the opening of 4Wall New York. He was the general manager there for more than nine years.

During his time overseeing the New York operation, the location grew to be the largest of all of 4Wall's offices, now existing in a facility of more than 135,000-sq.-ft.

Cannon is survived by his son, Jordan, of San Francisco, and daughter, Kelly, of New Gretna, New Jersey; his mother, Dolores Topp; sister, Terry Worme, her husband Chris, and their daughter, Tracey.

Michael Cannon, 4Wall CEO, said, "Jimmy was a unique character and personality not only in the lighting industry, but in life in general. His love for his co-workers, as well as his impact on the industry that he loved, will not be forgotten."

A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4.
