Moving Head Magic and Par Power Lead Chauvet DJ New Offerings at DJ Expo 2018 DJ Expo visitors have come to expect to see new lighting products unveiled at the Chauvet DJ booth. At this year's show, which takes place August 13 - 16, the company will more than live up to those expectations. New technology will be on full display at its show booth (619) at the Harrah's Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City. Leading the way are three new feature-packed Intimidator moving heads and a powerful new warm white wash in the popular Eve series. These and other Chauvet DJ products can also be seen in action on the DJ Times Square Main Stage, which the company is sponsoring once again. Chauvet DJ will also be sponsoring "Lighting Strategies for Winning Events" on Tuesday, August 14th at 10:00am in Avalon Rooms 24-26. Presented by Event Producer and DJ Jeremy Brech, this seminar will provide invaluable tips that DJs can use to maximize their opportunities in the burgeoning event market. Something that is sure to attract attention and generate buzz at the show is the debut of the Chauvet DJ Intimidator Spot 260. Featuring a high-output 75W LED and motorized focus, the fixture can project crisp gobos over great distances. Decreasing the beam angle to 5-degrees with the manual zoom allows light to be thrown even further. The fixture's totem mode keeps beams on the dancefloor, and a three-facet prism splits the beam to cover a larger area. The Intimidator Spot 260 allows DJs to set, save, and recall one scene manually, directly from the full-color LCD display. A pair of small but mighty moving heads making their DJ Expo debut are the Intimidator Scan 110 and Intimidator Spot 110. The Intimidator Spot 110 is a lightweight LED moving head perfect for modest mobile applications. It features separate color and gobo wheels for creative programming. The Intimidator Scan 110's fast and precise movements will energize any dancefloor. Warm, bright, and even wash is at hand with the DJ Expo debut of Eve P-100 WW, a high-output warm white (3,500K) wash light designed for mobile and installation applications. It includes interchangeable magnetic lenses to alter the beam to desired angles. Eve P-100 WW features a built-in gel frame holder and handy 6.25" accessory slot to hold barn doors. The fixture's fanless design ensures 100-percent silent operation, making it well suited for applications where low noise levels are required. In addition to new product launches, visitors can also explore pioneering Chauvet DJ lighting control technology like BTAir that lets DJs control Bluetooth wireless technology-enabled fixtures directly from their smart phones or tablets without any additional hardware. Chauvet DJ will be raffling off new lighting gear at three raffles during the show.
