PLASA Invites Revolutionary and Extraordinary Submissions of What Rocks in this Industry

The nomination period for the sixth annual Rock Our World awards, presented by PLASA, is open from May 20, 2013 through June 21, 2013. An opportunity for industry members to celebrate what makes them proud to be a part of this industry -- the Rock Our World awards recognize the genius of creators, designers, and integrators. These awards focus on what makes new products, product applications, or projects revolutionary, not just evolutionary.

As in previous years, anyone may nominate a project, product, or product application with a PLASA member involved in a significant role as designer, manufacturer, supplier, or collaborator. Nominations for the 2013 awards must have been available in the market or premiered between October 1, 2011 and June 21, 2013 and must not have been previously nominated.

A panel of well-respected industry experts will serve as this year's judges and finalists will be notified in August. Winners will be announced at PLASA's annual cocktail and awards ceremony at the LDI show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Previous winners have included Green-GO Communication System (ELC Lighting), ALEXA Digital Camera System (ARRI), Garsington Opera (Unusual Rigging), Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House Chandelier (Carallon, J.R. Clancy, ETC, Mike Wood Consulting), and the 83rd Annual Academy Awards (A.C.T Lighting, Green Hippo, MA Lighting, PRG, TMB).
