Bestek Adds New Vice President of Sales and Head of Production

Bestek Lighting and Staging, in West Babylon, New York, has added two two new team members.

Carl Bambina joins Bestek as vice president of sales. He received his BS from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University. He began a 10 year career in both New York City and Long Island City, working in the large format printing industry, when Photoshop was only a few years old. He became a star in his industry, creating colossal images on 20' wide machines that could produce 60' wide billboards. He used his acquired knowledge of photography, color correction, print production, and design to produce graphics that were seen by millions on billboards in Times Square and on the sides of highways throughout the USA. After working in many production positions in large format, Bambina decided it was time for a change of scenery and moved to the sales side of the industry. His passion for producing large format graphics continued as he sold unique banners and displays at a successful print shop in Connecticut. For the next nine years of his career he worked with many creative and successful event producers and designers, helping them enhance their events with Special Event Graphics. Bambina joins the Bestek team as vice president of sales and looks forward to continuing Bestek's 40 year legacy. He currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife Lori; their two children Nicholas and Julianna; their dog Veve; and their Koi pond in their backyard. He can be contacted at cbambina@bestek.com.

Kevin O'Brien has been promoted to a newly formed position as Bestek Lighting & Staging's head of production. O'Brien's 18 years of experience with Bestek will be put to work overseeing production activities especially with respect to equipment, scheduling, and crews in the field. He will work in cooperation with Jason Rice who is coordinating the shop support efforts. The company says that O'Brien's new position will ensure that Bestek's high standards of quality and service to clients over the past four decades are maintained.
