With over 30 years of experience in design, sales, business development, and marketing within the lighting industry, the company says his extensive knowledge and industry expertise make him well-suited for this versatile sales position. He joins SGM during a transformative period for the company, following its acquisition by lighting manufacturer Golden Sea. "His deep expertise in the specifier, installer, and integrator lighting communities, combined with his leadership experience at industry names like ETC, Cooper, Hubbell, and OSRAM, brings invaluable insight to our team. As regional sales manager, Bokelman will execute SGM's sales strategy, adopting a customer-focused approach while leveraging his deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. His relationships across all facets of the lighting community will open new opportunities for SGM in high-profile architectural, entertainment, and commercial projects, the company says. Additionally, he plans to reengage with industry groups such as the IALD and the IES, where he previously chaired several committees. His passion for making technology accessible is reflected in the numerous articles he has authored for industry publications, while his innovative approach is evident in the patents he has secured. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in lighting design (theatre) from Lawrence University in his hometown of Appleton, Wisconsin. "I see a new approach forming within SGM Lighting to deliver innovative solutions to world-class projects," says Bokelman.
