This video offers guidance from lighting designer Donald Holder and photosensitivity researcher Dr. Arnold Wilkins, offering an in-depth look at how theatrical lighting can affect photosensitive individuals, including those with epilepsy, and how designers can make performances safer and more inclusive through thoughtful, empathetic design. The video also highlights the FlashCue Project, introduced by Nicole Hughes, an initiative aimed at building a public database of flashing light cues from Broadway and professional theater productions. FlashCue is working to ensure audiences, especially those living with photosensitivity, have access to clear information about potentially triggering cues before attending a show.
