DiGiCo to Make IBC Debut

Having developed application specific feature sets for a number of its SD Range of digital consoles, UK-manufacturer DiGiCo will exhibit for the first time at this year's IBC in stand B16, Hall 8, showing its SD7B, SD10B, and SD11B mixing consoles, which cater for all broadcast situations from the most complex to the most straightforward.

The SD7B, SD10B, and SD11B draw on Digico's Soundtracs heritage by adding broadcast-specific feature sets to the respective multi-application consoles.

The SD7B has the routing capacity, processing ability, and user interface to form the heart of the most complex broadcast audio productions, with a feature set designed to manage extensive, challenging work. The work surface handles up to 996 simultaneous optical, plus 224 MADI, 24 analog and AES/EBU connections, along with 128 busses (each with full processing in mono, stereo, LCR, or 5.1), 32 matrix busses and 32, 32-band graphic equalizers. Multiple operator engineering is easy, while up to 100 physical faders can be accessed with the addition of EX-007 expander units.

The SD10B provides a blend of features, performance, andflexibility. Many of the SD10B's technologies are also to be found in the larger SD7B, while the new Nitrous expansion significantly enhances its features and processing power.

The SD11B is a compact 19" rackmount or table top mixer, delivering a low cost, powerful solution which is straightforward to incorporate into almost any mixing environment. 16 microphone pre amps, eight line outputs, and two mono AES I/O are provided, in addition to which users have the option to connect a DiGiCo D-Rack to the CAT5E port. This provides a remote I/O rack frame with an additional 32 microphone inputs and up to 16 outputs.

DiGiCo will also be showing the newest, version of the SD9 live mixer.

The SD9 is a complete, integrated system, which includes the mixing surface, a D-Rack digital stage interface, and CAT5E digital multicore, with the additional ability to simultaneously record 56 channels direct to multitrack software or DAW.
