Green Hippo Appoints New Distributor in Turkey

After what the company says was a very successful 2011, with Hippotizers attending a host of events and projects in Turkey, Green Hippo has decided to appoint a new distributor for the region.

Phantom Engineering has so far purchased 9HDs for various projects, plus two demonstration HDs for its role as Green Hippo distributor.

Phantom Engineering first contacted Green Hippo at the end of 2010 with a view to buying six HDs for the 25th Winter Universiade in Erzurum, Turkey in January/February 2011.

Since then, Phantom has not stopped. Other products include the following:

The World Children's Games Opening in Turkey with seven Hippotizer HDs using a total of 13 outputs for 12 Christie HD18K and one curved LED display running content of 5Kx3K.

Projection-mapping on Ciragan Palace, using eight Hippotizer HDs controlled by one MA Ligthing GrandMA2 full size console, outputting to 16 Christie HD18K, using the UberPan+DMX2 components to project on a 400' by 59' canvas (8 800 x 1,264 pixels).

The Men's World Boxing Championship opening ceremony, using three Hippotizer HDs.

The TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championship Istanbul opening ceremony, coming up at the end of this month, which will require six Hippotizer HDs.

Sedat Gündüz, technical manager at Phantom, says, "We will do our best with the sales and marketing of this product. At the moment, everybody is talking about the good work we do with our Hippotizers."
