d3 Technologies to Introduce Innovative Products at London's PLASA Show d3 Technologies will unveil several innovations to its product line at the PLASA Show in London, October 4-6. On hand in Booth J40 will be d3's new r12 software, the recently released d3 2x2plus, and the forthcoming VFC cards. The new r12 software release offers a mix of new and improved features for all the power users require to deliver outstanding projects, the company says. The new Dynamic Blend feature calculates edge-blend masks in real time, even if objects are moving. No more need to build blend masks in third-party software; d3 can handle it automatically with a single switch. d3's r12 offers new Content Management features for faster workflows with built-in version management and the ability to introduce file proxies. The Universal CrossFade feature enables a soft transition between any two sections, tracks, or external triggers of a show without being restricted by the timeline sequence. d3's legendary failover and understudy ability has been improved with the use of individual matrix routing instructions to allow re-routing during failover situations. A complex understudy failover system can now be constructed without using up limited matrix presets. And r12 now supports CAST Software's BlackTrax, a popular external solution allowing real time tracking of moving objects and people using infrared cameras. d3 Technologies new d3 2x2plus media server is designed for small events, theatre productions, and fixed and architectural installations where less outputs are needed but the full power, flexibility, and performance of d3 are absolute requirements. As every d3 hardware platform, the d3 2x2plus comes with the same award-winning suite of d3 software pre-installed. The d3 2x2plus is available as a base unit featuring two 2560x1600 outputs, and an extra output reserved for the GUI. Factory-fitted additional extras include 3G-SDI, DVI capture, and Pro-Audio, making the system a flexible solution for a wide variety of applications, the company says. Also on show at PLASA will be d3 Technologies' new VFC cards. Accessories to the d3 4x4pro, d3's replaceable VFC cards enable users to mix and swap video signals, driving up to 16HD outputs as DVI or SDI (1080P), or 4x4K DP1.2 from a single d3 4x4pro system. Large multi-projector shows can be delivered with fewer machines, no downstream splitters, and practically no signal latency.
