LD Matthew King and 4Wall Light Tucker Wetmore's Sold Out Fall Tour

"The Outcast BeamWash's brightness, speed, and pixel-mapped outer ring allowed me to achieve diverse looks, from tight beams to wide washes, all within a compact footprint," King shares.

The rising star of country music, Tucker Wetmore, embarked on his first headlining sold-out tour, with 4Wall Entertainment providing the lighting rental package. With a design crafted by lighting designer Matthew King, the tour's visual elements complement Wetmore's dynamic performances and created an immersive experience for fans across diverse venues.

King, who has been in the industry for three years and has worked extensively in the country music scene, was uniquely positioned to design for Wetmore. Having met the artist during his early touring days, King was excited to collaborate directly with Wetmore's team for this milestone event.

"Tucker's first headlining tour was a chance to create something that not only stood out but also addressed the practical challenges of scaling across different venue sizes," King explains. "I wanted to ensure the rig was flexible, efficient, and impactful for audiences."

"The design features a custom floor package centered on flexibility and efficiency," the company says. "The tour operated as a fully self-contained production without a dedicated LD, with all equipment meticulously labeled for efficient setup and managed seamlessly by a combination of the tour's audio crew and local staff. "Utilizing three sticks of Tyler GT truss configured as six grouped totems, the rig is easy to deploy, compact enough for a shared bus trailer, and scalable for varying venue layouts. The rig's fixtures included CHAUVET Professional's Outcast BeamWash units, selected for their versatility and performance."

"The Outcast BeamWash's brightness, speed, and pixel-mapped outer ring allowed me to achieve diverse looks, from tight beams to wide washes, all within a compact footprint," King shares. "It's a fixture that feels like it can do the job of two, and it made the design process much smoother."

4Wall's support was instrumental in ensuring a seamless production.

"The gear arrived clean and fresh, and we didn't encounter a single issue throughout the tour," King notes. "The team at 4Wall, including Tyler Bevel, Phillips Harbarger, and Jason Blasing, went above and beyond to meet our tight deadlines and last-minute adjustments. It's always a pleasure to work with a partner that prioritizes quality and reliability."
