Clearwing Productions is now a Certified Vortek Dealer

Clearwing is now a certified dealer for Vortek Classic Hoists, the automated theatrical rigging system from Daktronics. Clearwing service and systems engineer, Nick Pitman, has completed the Daktronics rigging dealer training held in Rochester, New York, in January 2012. Clearwing is the only company in Arizona certified to repair, install, and sell the Vortek hoist system.

Daktronics is a designer and manufacturer of electronic scoreboards, programmable displays, and large screen video displays using LED technology. Daktronics engineers adept at unique needs of new and renovated facilities, including projects blending counterweight and motorized rigging on a single stage, developed the Vortek Classic Hoist to adapt to non-standard layouts. Daktronics rigging products are the first ever to be designed and manufactured as a total engineered solution intended to standardize modern rigging practices. Vortek Hoist systems also achieved the ISO 9001:2008 certification in January of 2012.

Obtaining the Vortek certification allows Clearwing the ability to offer on-site rigging repair and installations to their list of specialized service offerings. In addition to other certifications from manufacturers such as Martin Professional, Strand, Color Kinetics, and CM Lodestar, the Vortek certification has positioned the company to offer an all-inclusive solution to the theatrical market, the company says.
