New Studio Set for Broadway.com Video Productions

The new set for Broadway.com was designed by David Korins.

Broadway.com announces the christening of their new video production set by Emmy winning set designer, David Korins. With the increased video production and distribution by both The Broadway Channel and Broadway.com, the new studio will serve as a home base for their popular programming, keeping content at high production quality, and on brand with the Broadway.com aesthetic viewers and fans have come to expect. Korins, who's set design for Hamilton garnered a Tony nomination, created a chic and contemporary set in line with that vision.

"David Korins has created unforgettable sets for Broadway like Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and his newly Tony-nominated set for War Paint, as well as beautifully crafted sets for television like his Emmy Award-winning design for Grease Live! and Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Broadway.com editor-in-chief Paul Wontorek said, "He is the perfect person to create a look that merges classic Broadway with modern television."

Broadway.com will premiered the new studio in a live streamed video with special guest Cobie Smulders yesterday during their popular daily series "Live at Five" which can be viewed on the Broadway.com Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Broadway). The video featured Smulders in an interview segment and she will exclusively announce the nominees for the Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards.

The set will be used for all in-house video productions, including "Live at Five," a popular long-form weekly talk series called "Show People," and the hit weekly news program, "The Broadway.com Show," all of which have featured prominent actors and musicians including Josh Groban, Elisabeth Moss, Matthew Broderick, Kristin Chenoweth, Jennifer Hudson, Sarah Paulson, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, to name a few.

The new studio is housed in The John Gore Organization headquarters at the historic Brill Building in the heart of Broadway. With more opportunities for high-end studio quality production and this brand-new studio set, Broadway.com will be able to increase and expand their video programming.

Broadway.com is the premiere Broadway theatre website for news, exclusive content, and ticket sales. It has been cited as the most influential source for obtaining Broadway information since 2009, according to The Broadway League Audience Demographics report. Broadway.com offers its subscribers and its visitors (over 25 million annually) complete editorial coverage, unique content, and show information.

Broadway.com is a subsidiary of The John Gore Organization (JGO).
