Avid Supports Full Sail University's Seventh Annual Hall of Fame Week

Avid announces its support for the 2016 Full Sail University Hall of Fame Week, an annual event honoring university alumni in entertainment, media, and the arts, which took place February 15 - 19, 2016. As part of its ongoing commitment to developing the next generation of top industry talent, Avid donated a license of the video editing software, Avid Media Composer, and participated in the Hall of Fame Expo and presentations.

Each year, Full Sail honors past and present inductees by hosting a week-long celebration in and around its Winter Park campus. The event featured panels presented by industry leaders and alumni, workshops, meet-and-greet sessions, and other educational opportunities for students. Avid has supported the Full Sail University Hall of Fame Week celebration every year since its first celebration seven years ago.

At the Hall of Fame Expo on Tuesday, February 16, electronic music producer and DJ, Greg "Stryke" Chin, presented a comprehensive overview of what's new in the industry-standard digital audio software, Pro Tools, alongside Avid pro audio team members. Avid also showcased the Pro Tools| S3 control surface, the soon-to-be-released Pro Tools | Dock, and the free iPad Pro Tools | Control app. "Avid and Full Sail are long-time collaborators devoted to helping students succeed in the music industry by giving them a strong foundation in the entertainment industry," said Avid senior vice president, worldwide field operations, Jeff Rosica. "Our support for Hall of Fame Week is part of our ongoing commitment to preparing aspiring artists for future success by giving students access and insight into the tools and workflows relied on by the industry's most talented professionals."
