First Apostolic Church Transforms Worship with DAS Audio in Nashville

"The church was blown away. They got exactly what they needed: clean, balanced sound with a punch," says Bush.

When the First Apostolic Church in Nashville, Tennessee decided it was time for an upgrade, they sought a sound system that could match their passion for creating meaningful moments. Enter All Seasons Audio and DAS Audio.

Brian Bush from All Season's Audio in Jesup, Georgia, was up for the challenge. Tasked with finding the right audio solution for the church, he explored multiple options before confidently recommending DAS Audio. The tipping point? A live demo led by Carlos Henao, DAS Audio's East Coast senior sales engineer for Pro Audio.

The church's old system had its strengths but lacked consistent coverage throughout the sanctuary. With a full band, powerful vocals, and a mix of music and speech, they needed a system that could deliver clarity, balance, and impact -- without compromise. It also had to meet their budget and be installed in time for their annual conference, a major event for their congregation. Ultimately, the decision was made to go with the latest release from DAS Audio, the ARA series.

The installed system includes:

L/R SARA line array: The SARA-100 delivers 3000W rms of dynamic, uniform audio with 142dB MAX SPL, designed for events and medium-sized installations where sound quality and uniformity are a priority. Its versatile rigging and quick setup ensure seamless integration and performance.

L/R LARA-SUBS: The LARA-SUB delivers deep, controlled low frequencies with cardioid dispersion to minimize rear sound energy. Featuring dual 18" transducers in the front and a single 18" in the back to create the cardioid dispersion pattern avoiding unwanted energy behind the system, as well as high-efficiency amplification, optimized DSP, and rugged construction, it's designed for precise, reliable bass performance in any setup.

ARTEC-510A outfills: The ARTEC-510A delivers clear, dynamic sound with a 10" loudspeaker and 1" compression driver, all housed in a ultra-compact birch plywood cabinet. This active speaker is designed for versatile audio installations.

MATRIX-66: The MATRIX-66 streamlines audio and data management for DAS Audio systems with six inputs, six outputs, and an integrated Ethernet switch, offering simple setup and versatile connectivity for large-scale installations.

ALMA: The soul of this system is ALMA, the control and management software from DAS Audio. The intelligent programming helps manage and optimize the systems quickly and easily, with the ability to do health checks before every show and change global parameters on the fly.

For Jody Shoulders, audio engineer at First Apostolic Church, the upgrade has been a game-changer: "The system is really nice -- clear, clean, and musical. Spoken word and vocals come through beautifully, and the low end is exactly what we were looking for. It brings power without overwhelming the room."

Brian Bush of All Seasons Audio echoes the sentiment: "The church was blown away. They got exactly what they needed: clean, balanced sound with a punch. It doesn't overwhelm, but it fills the room beautifully. The clarity is unmatched, and the subs bring a fullness that the old system couldn't touch."

For Bush, DAS Audio isn't just another brand; it's a reliable partner. "Carlos and the DAS team always deliver," he shares. "Their products exceed expectations, and their commitment to quality is obvious. I use DAS often, and they never disappoint."
