GLP Launches JDC Burst 1

GLP's JDC Burst 1

Inspired by the technology of the new JDC2 IP, and building on the JDC1, the JDC Burst 1, from GLP, is billed as delivering an impressive blend of power, color intensity, and flexibility.

With its segmented, controllable white strobe line that's 10% brighter than the JDC1, the company says the product delivers punch and impressive strobe effects.

In addition to the white strobe line, the JDC Burst 1 features two RGBW LED plates, offering significantly improved color performance compared to the JDC1. As its first hybrid strobe with RGBW LED plates, GLP says it enables rich, vibrant colors and delicate pastel tones. The RGBW plates are also precisely controllable in 20 by 240 RGBW pixels (divided into 12 by four segments of 5-by-5 pixels each).

The company says that combining the strobe line and RGBW plates unleashes the power of the burst, as the strobe line and LED plates can flash in the same white color.

The IP65-rated unit withstands rain, dust, and pyrotechnic effects while remaining virtually maintenance-free. Its fully enclosed system is designed to guarantee long-term, reliable performance.

Thanks to its flexible 180-degree tilt and versatile control options via DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and GLP iQ.Mesh, the JDC Burst 1 provides intuitive operation and easy integration into existing setups. The multi-patch function also opens up new possibilities for customized control.

Weighing just under 31lb and featuring ergonomic handles, the unit is easy to transport and install. With the help of Camlock quick-release fasteners on the arm for vertical mounting, the device can be flexibly integrated into various setups -- horizontally, vertically, or at creative angles.

The JDC Burst 1 is already shipping and is available now.
