The Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association Announces Its Third Annual Membership Meeting

The Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association (TSDCA) announces their third annual membership meeting , with events for both members as well as the general public. On June 2 - 4, the TSDCA will hold three days of public panels and discussions regarding sound design and composition in theatre. It will be held at Baryshnikov Arts Center , 450 W 37th St, New York, New York 10018, from 5:00 - 8:00pm on June 2nd, 10:30am - 9:30pm on June 3rd, and 11am - 10pm on June 4th.

Among the many fascinating workshops that will be presented for the public include: a conversation with director David Cromer and designer Fitz Patton about their collaborative relationship; a presentation on theatrical Foley with Fred Newman , performer on National Public Radio's A Prairie Home Companion and Live From Here with Chris Thile; a presentation of multiple generations of musical theatre composers with Mel Marvin, Julia Meinwald, and Dan Moses Schreier; a report from Sun Hee Kil on her participation with the sound design team at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games ; and what hopes to be the largest gathering ever of women working in theatrical sound for the Women in Audio session, featuring dramaturg Martha Wade Skeketee and artEquity's Porsche McGovern.

TSDCA is a professional membership organization of sound designers and composers for the performing arts working in the United States.
