Prestige AV Selects Sola Series as Its "Solid Workhorse"

	High End Systems SolaFrame 1000 luminaires on the job for Prestige AV & Creative Services.

Prestige AV & Creative Services has recently purchased 24 High End Systems SolaFrame 1000 fixtures for its rental inventory. The Cincinnati, Ohio-based company purchased the LED automated luminaires after extensive testing amongst various manufacturers.

Prestige lighting director Shawn Bernstein says the production company started researching new automated lighting in mid-2018.

"We needed a solid workhorse fixture that would fill multiple roles," he explains. "Our requirements were that the fixture had to be an LED light source, offer color mixing, have a full indexable set of framing shutters, and be service friendly with good support from the manufacturer."

After months of testing and evaluating fixtures, the SolaFrame 1000 passed the audition. Since its purchase in March 2019, the fixtures have been shining in a slew of corporate shows and live events.

"The compact size and weight of the SolaFrame 1000 makes it a perfect fit for use in small and large ballrooms, and it packs the punch of many of the larger fixtures," Bernstein says in reference to its 19,000 lumen output.

"In addition to being a compact powerhouse, the SolaFrame 1000 offers a great feature set of rotating and indexing framing shutters, and has an excellent animation wheel giving our LDs a ton to work with for our clients," he adds. "Even when stacking color, gobo, prism, and animation into the fixture it still punches through, allowing us to create animated living effects. This is a fixture that can easily go from doing great aerial effects to clean even washes perfectly cut into a tight space, to beautiful décor for an event at the drop of a hat!"

Topping off the SolaFrame's features with the warranty and "wonderful support" from High End Systems made the decision "a very easy one," he notes.

"As a primarily Hog 4 console house, we were familiar with the quality and service that we could expect from High End Systems," Bernstein states. "This is a fixture that will be our front running work horse for years to come."
