Nemetschek Vectorworks Releases Japanese-Language Version of Vectorworks 2015

Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc., a provider of intuitive, powerful, and practical 2D/3D and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software solutions, announces the release of the Japanese-language version of the award-winning Vectorworks 2015 product line that includes Designer, Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, Fundamentals, and Renderworks.

To supplement localized European and Spanish-language releases of Vectorworks 2015 last fall, Nemetschek Vectorworks' Japanese distributor, A&A Co., Ltd., hosted events at six major cities in Japan in the weeks leading up to yesterday's launch, attracting crowds of hundreds of designers wanting to test out the platform's new capabilities. Vectorworks 2015 software features over 100 updates and new features in the areas of architecture, BIM, urban planning, and entertainment design. In addition, the power of 64-bit is now integrated throughout the entire product line, allowing designers to create larger projects with increased performance and stability. These improvements are complemented with a new graphical experience due to advances made to the Vectorworks graphics module.

"We are showing designers all over Japan how Vectorworks software has evolved to enable them to improve their workflows and bring their ideas to reality," said Eiichi Kawase, president, A&A Co., Ltd. "The software's integral focus on inviting users to discover new possibilities really speaks to everyone who experiences the new release."

Nemetschek Vectorworks' CEO Sean Flaherty and architect product specialist Jeffrey Ouellette, associate AIA, IES, participated in pre-launch events in Tokyo and Osaka, where they engaged with users.

"We sensed strong enthusiasm for the new release, which is great to see because Japan is our largest market and boasts our biggest concentration of large-seat firms -- many with hundreds or thousands of licenses each," says Flaherty. "We heard from customers that they're particularly interested in the Vectorworks Remote App, Deform tool, new gradient options, enhanced text editing features, and the seamless, visual transitions between 2D and 3D models. We look forward to strengthening our position and supporting continued growth in Japan following A&A's July 2014 acquisition by technology giant Canon IT Solutions, a division of Canon Corporation and one of the largest software and IT retailers in the country."
