Cynthia Viteri Celebrates Ten Years With Gearsource

This week marks a very special anniversary for the leading online marketplace: Ten years ago, Cynthia Viteri joined GearSource founder Marcel Fairbairn on his journey to build the best online resource for production inventory sellers and buyers. Viteri became the company's second employee and helped to not only grow sales and the listings base, but also become a part of the company's DNA. Today, Viteri manages the internal logistics systems for the company while also taking care of a large customer base of her own.

"Cynthia is not only a dedicated and loyal employee, she's someone who has been a very close friend of mine for a long time," says Fairbairn. "We've been through so much together, and I can honestly say I've learned from Cynthia. When someone reminded me that she was coming up on her ten year anniversary, I couldn't help but reflect. When Cynthia started with GearSource, it was in my living room! We would each open a laptop and start working. From that point in 2003, we grew very quickly to not only move out of the house and employ a lot more people, but also opened a facility in Europe. I've always wished I could find ten more people just like Cynthia. Her effort, passion, and desire to win is difficult to duplicate."

Contemplating her milestone, Viteri went on to say, "I am really quite shocked that it's been ten years already. Time really does fly when you're enjoying yourself. I look forward each morning to working with our clients and vendors, and I appreciate that I have such a supportive team around me. I hope to be doing this another ten years!"

In 2012, GearSource celebrated its own ten year anniversary. This year, the company is looking forward to continued growth and expansion with a third location.
