Employee Changes at Texas Scenic CompanyTexas Scenic announces the following hires and role changes as our company continues to grow and strategically restructure in order to best serve our customers and help shrink our lead times. New York Based Employees: Barbara Pook, a founding partner of Pook, Diemont, and Ohl, Inc. which was bought out by Texas Scenic in 2016, is transitioning away from her primary role at Texas Scenic the past four years. She will serve as the director of special projects, primarily overseeing the project at Brown University PAC and will continue to work with the Texas Scenic Board of Directors as needed until that project's completion in 2021. With Pook's transition, Kelly O'Connell and Andrew Plumer have accepted new roles in the NE office that takes over much of Pook's day-to-day. O'Connell has moved into a new role as director of projects NE, overseeing the business side of projects based out of the NE Office, and Plumer has moved into the role of director of project management NE, overseeing the Project Management NE team. The NE Office is also welcoming Karl Chmielewski on staff as an installation upervisor/crew chief to effectively lead install crews for projects in the NE, especially projects where union labor is needed and someone with extensive theatre knowledge is needed to help oversee installation. San Antonio Based Employees: Stu Pribil and Kristian Vatalaro have both recently moved into new director roles at Texas Scenic. Pribil's new position is the director of safety and field operations, overseeing the installation crews, building operations/safety team, and is responsible for all training across the company. Kristian Vatalaro's new role is the director of project management, and will oversee all project managers in the San Antonio office, along with O'Connell and Plumer in the New York office in their new roles. With Pribil and Vatalaro in their new roles, along with Joel Guerra who is the current director of engineering and services, the three of them will serve as a catalyst for aligning and streamlining Texas Scenic's Engineering, Project Management, and Installation teams through all parts of the project process, ensuring that Texas Scenic is operating at maximum capacity and efficiency for all projects, big and small. David Garza is joining the Systems Integration Department in the new role of systems integration specialist. He will be working with San Antonio-based Project Management to help with coordinating and installation of lighting systems. Darren Bassett has also come on board as a field service technician for Dallas region, beginning June 8. He will be the primary lighting tech for the region and help with installs as well, in addition to traveling to other project sites as needed. On the San Antonio Project Management team, Texas Scenic has hired Kevin Dunckel on staff as a project manager, working as part of Roy Harline's Project Team. Manny Silva will be moving from his current position as a crew chief to be a project manager, working as part of Charles Page's team along with Larry Alonzo in the Houston region. Evan Smith is shifting from his current Project Management position with the Houston team to be the small curtain install project manager for all territories.
