FOR-A to Showcase Its Video Switchers at WFX 2015FOR-A announces plans to showcase its lineup of video switchers at the upcoming Worship Facilities Conference and Expo (WFX), which takes place November 18 - 19 at the Music City Center in Nashville. Popular with many houses of worship, FOR-A's HVS-2000, HVS-100HS, and HVS-390HS units will be displayed at WFX within booth 118. "House of worship is a very important area for FOR-A," said Jay Shinn, vice president of FOR-A America. "Many worship centers rely on our cost-efficient video switchers to help them communicate their messages better to their congregations, and to create richer audience experiences. We are always looking to further strengthen our business in religious technology, and WFX is the place to be to aid in doing that." Debuting in the US at NAB this year, the user-friendly HVS-2000 has fast become a popular choice for houses of worship. Current users include California-based Valley Baptist Church, Frazer United Methodist Church in Alabama, and California's High Desert Church. The switcher supports SD, HD, 3G, and 4K applications, up to 48 inputs/18 outputs or 40 inputs/22 outputs, and features exclusive functions that allow operators to enhance their power and creativity in video switching. One useful HVS-2000 feature for house of worship productions is ONStage, which was designed specifically for staging events where multiple image magnification displays are used. The switcher mode allows operators to view mix, wipe, key, and DVE changes under full preview control connected directly to the lever arm transition area. Other exclusive features of the unit include MELite, which allows a traditional AUX bus to transform into functional mix effects with cuts, mix, wipes, keys, and DVE including full preview, and FLEXaKEY, which allows operators to tailor their production needs by adding, moving, and multiplying key and DVE layers to traditional M/E or MELite resources. Another video switcher to be shown by FOR-A is the HVS-100HS portable video switcher. The unit offers a wide range of functions, including mixed HD/SD input, frame synchronization, multi-viewer capability, re-sizing engine, 2.5D wipe effects and DVE and keyer with chroma key. The compact, feature-packed HVS-100HS is a popular choice for houses of worship, including use by Arizona's Sun Valley Community Church and Georgia-based 12Stone Church, who owns four switchers that enable quick and easy setup at their remote campuses for Sunday services. Also to be showcased at WFX is the versatile HVS-390HS video switcher, which includes 16 HD/SD-SDI inputs and eight outputs (expandable to 24 inputs and 13 outputs), with frame synchronizers for all inputs. Featuring advanced AUX technology and unique functionality, the HVS-390HS has the capability of a six M/E unit. Ohio's Faith Family Church, First Baptist Church Oviedo, Detroit-based Kensington Church, and Manhattan's historic Trinity Church are among the many HVS-390HS house of worship users.
