Lucille Lortel Award Winners AnnouncedThe winners of the Lucille Lortel Awards, which honor achievement Off Broadway, were announced on May 5. In the design categories, Arnulfo Maldonado was cited for the scenery of Sugar in Our Wounds, produced by Manhattan Theatre Club. Lap chi Chu won for the lighting design of Mlima's Tale produced by the Public Theater. Dan Moses Schreier took the nod for the revival of Carmen Jones, produced by Classic Stage Company (Carmen Jones was the big winner, taking four awards overall.) The costume design category featured a tie: Montana Levi Blanco for The House That Will Not Stand produced by New York Theatre Workshop, and Paloma Young for Alice by Heart, produced by MCC Theater.
