The University of Tennessee Medical Center (UTMC) Philanthropic Advisory Council launched their annual kick-off event with a sophisticated, winter theme comprised of soft azures and snow-white illumination with a lighting package provided by Bandit Lites.

The evening's dinner took place at Cherokee Country Club and emphasized the extraordinary care and compassion that UTMC provides to its patients, acting as the area's only Level I Trauma Center and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Bandit Lites owner and chair, Michael T. Strickland, serves on the UTMC board, and Bandit Lites donated over 150 fixtures for the kick off, including Chauvet Professional Freedom pars to uplight the main room, adjacent rooms, front entrance. Chauvet EZ washes highlighted banners placed around the room that showcased the facility's campaign, "Why People Give to UT Medical Center."

"GLP Atoms provided stage lighting, and we used several dozen Chauvet Color Dash Accents to uplight the arched ceiling, as well as Chauvet Min E10 WW Lekos to use a break-up pattern on the ceiling," elaborated Allison Burchett, Bandit's director of philanthropy and production manager.

Burchett worked with Bandit general manager Giff Swart in planning and setting up the event, while Jamie Sullivan and lighting director Alex Becker providing night-of support.

"It is such an honor to be able to give back to an organization that is not only an integral part of the community, but one that quite literally saves lives," said Burchett. "I am so proud of Bandit's commitment to champion local efforts that make such an impact, and UTMC's philanthropic efforts is certainly one of the best causes out there."
