Stage Research, Inc. Announces Updated Release of SoftPlot 9.3 Stage Research has announced the availability of SoftPlot 9.3 with many new features designed to expand the functionality of the popular graphical design software that enables lighting designers to plot lighting and manage paperwork at all levels of the industry. "With SoftPlot 9.3, we have grown the capabilities of the software, increased accessibility to new gear and responded to users' suggestions for ways to enhance the SoftPlot experience," says Bill Kirby, the SoftPlot project manager. Leading numerous additions to SoftPlot 9.3 is the new 'Cloud Services' window, providing a direct connection to the LightShop WS database for locating new fixture symbols, gel, and gobo images making it very easy to add them to a design. The Integrated LightShop WS Cloud Services window also provides a one button process to upload a SoftPlot design to a Project on the www.crescit.com website, making it easy to share your design with people that need access to it. You can also add a picture gallery to your online Project using the Crescit website to display the cool work you've been doing. The Integrated Cloud Services window also provides direct access to the growing library of video tutorials to help you learn how to use SoftPlot. Other SoftPlot 9.3 features include a number of fields to describe a project such as credits and designers have been added to provide a more detailed outline when uploaded to a Cloud project. Conventional fixtures can now be assigned as controllable as required by LED powered PAR, Fresnel, strip lights, or ellipsoidal fixture types. You can now export an HTML formatted Magic Sheet viewable in any browser including mobile and tablets. This is done from the File menu command 'Export Magic Sheet'. All images are embedded directly into the one file, making it easier to move to a tablet or mobile for on the go use. The DMX Accessory options have been enhanced to provide a custom name and purpose to an accessory which appear in the DMX Accessory report.
