Powersoft X Series Wins a Pro Sound Web / Live Sound International Reader's Choice Award

Powersoft, a manufacturer of professional power amplifiers, announced that its X Series has been presented with a Reader's Choice award from Pro Sound Web / Live Sound International magazines. The X Series emerged as the favored choice in the Power Amplifier Products category after thousands of reader ballots were tallied.

The X Series, which was launched to the US market during the InfoComm show last June to great success, delivers what the company says is "unmatched levels of versatility, flexibility, and power, redefining what is possible in power amplification." With flexible channel routing, a truly universal mono, bi-, and three-phase balancing power supply and fully featured DSP, the X Series represents a step forward in performance and power efficiency in both concert touring and fixed installation applications.

Both awards will be announced during the ISE Show in Amsterdam, February 10 - 12. The X Series follows previous innovations by Powersoft including the K Series, which debuted in 1995 and introduced the professional audio industry to disruptive technologies including Power Factor Correction (PFC) and switch-mode amplification. The efficiency of the X Series enables system integrators and production professionals to deploy fewer rack units while realizing sustained, predictable high performance power suitable for just about any production or installation.

By using Armonia Pro Audio Suite in conjunction with the X Series, users are able to access all necessary set up parameters as well as comprehensive control over digital audio processing and system performance monitoring. An integrated Wi-Fi connection allows the X Series amplifiers to be accessed and managed by smartphone or tablet through ¬a customized user interface.

The X Series, which consists of the X8 (2U chassis) and the X4 (1U chassis), supports AES3 and Dante by Audinate, and also features analog inputs for up to four input sources per channel.
