Win a Dream Vacation at PLASA London and Help Colleagues in Need

The Behind the Scenes charity asks: "If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? It's time to start dreaming of far away places!" They invite attendees to enter the Behind the Scenes UK raffle at the PLASA London show October 5 - 8 and someone will win the grand prize -- a £2500 travel voucher. Second prize is a £1,000 Amazon gift card, and third prize is a £500 voucher with Mr and Mrs Smith hotels. Raffle tickets are just £10 each and will be available throughout the show at the Behind the Scenes stand M65. The drawing will be held on Wednesday afternoon, October 8, but ticket-holders do not need to be present to win.

The raffle is to help raise funds for the new UK charity Behind the Scenes which will provide financial assistance to entertainment technology professionals, or their immediate family, who are seriously ill or injured. Grants may be used for basic living costs, some medical related expenses, transportation, retraining, or funerals. These grants will bring help and hope to colleagues during some of their darkest hours.

Behind the Scenes has a very wide remit. Anyone is eligible for assistance who has earned their living in the industry for at least five years, whether behind the curtain, behind the camera, on the road, or working for companies that manufacture or supply entertainment technology products and services. The charity exists solely to aid those who work behind the scenes; it does not assist performers.

The Behind the Scenes stand will also feature the chance to compete for the fastest lap on a racecar simulator and the BTS Boutique. The Boutique will have a wide selection of fun and useful BTS branded items to help spread the word to the industry. The charity says it's a great place to do holiday shopping for friends and family.
