Audio Precision and G.R.A.S. California Present Master Class on Testing Headphones and Powered SpeakersAudio Precision, an audio testing company, and G.R.A.S. Sound and Vibration, a designer and manufacturer of precision acoustic measurement solutions, announce a master class in Los Angeles and Cupertino on November 12 and 14 respectively discussing best practices for making accurate and repeatable measurements on high quality headphones and powered speakers. The class is designed specifically for R&D / test engineers and engineering technicians to learn how to save time in measurements, and make your testing more accurate, more reliable, and more efficient. Senior application engineers from both companies will look at the point of convergence where electro-acoustic needs meet electronics and address common challenges in test setup. Topics will include:
• Performing measurements in non-ideal settings
• High-frequency headphone measurements
• Bluetooth challenges
• Perceptual tests PESQ and POLQA versus sine-based measurements
• Latest application and technology trends The session will include hands-on time at demo stations to implement what was learned and will end with a post-session Q&A, which will include select beverages and an opportunity for peer-to-peer networking. The seminar begins at 11am and ends at 5pm -- lunch will be provided. To ensure a good engineer-to-trainer ratio, attendance is strictly limited to 35 people.
