Michael Yeargan Appointed to Positions at Yale School of Drama and Yale Repertory TheatreYale School of Drama has appointed Michael Yeargan as co-chair of the Design Department, alongside current co-chair Stephen Strawbridge, effective July 1. He will succeed Donald M. Oenslager professor Ming Cho Lee who will continue to teach full-time in the Design Department at Yale School of Drama, where he has taught since 1969 and has chaired or co-chaired the Department since 1993. Yeargan, a 1972 graduate of Yale School of Drama, where he studied with both Donald Oenslager and Ming Cho Lee and has taught since 1973, will also serve as set design advisor for Yale Repertory Theatre in addition to his current position as resident set designer. James Bundy, dean, Yale School of Drama, said, "Ming Cho Lee's leadership in recruiting brilliant faculty and superbly gifted students, and his dedication to training students in all disciplines of design, have kept Yale School of Drama and its graduates at the absolute forefront of the field.
