Chief Now Shipping New Interactive Solution for Ceiling-Mounted Projectors

Chief announces its new interactive ceiling-mounted projector solution is now shipping. The CMSI interactive accessory converts an existing ceiling-mounted projector's image into an interactive display.

With a built-in sensor, the accessory mounts on the wall above an existing dry-erase board and instantly transforms a ceiling-mounted projector into a robust interactive platform, powered by eBeam technology from Luidia Inc.

The CMSI interactive accessory combines both functionality and aesthetics. With a sleek design and brushed aluminum finish, it easily blends into any environment.

By taking the interactivity out of projectors and whiteboards and putting it in the mount, Chief offers an economical and long-term approach to interactive technology, the company says.

"Chief's new interactive solution offers an easy, budget-friendly way to instantly add interactivity to existing ceiling-mounted projectors," said Derek Derks, Chief's business development manager. "Technology changes quickly, but by placing interactivity in the mount, you have a flexible and long-term solution ready for future technologies and upgrades."

The new interactive accessory for ceiling mounted projectors joins Chief's interactive short throw projector mount, launched in April 2011.
