Pete's Big TVs Adds LightSlice to Rental InventoryVideo equipment rental company Pete's Big TVs has added new technology to its rental stock, including the digiLED LightSlice (http://www.petesbigtvs.com/digiLED%20LightSlice.pdf). Pete's Big TVs' owner Peter Daniel says, "We make it our mission to offer more creative, innovative solutions for your concert tour, corporate event, theatrical show, television broadcast, or whatever your needs may be." LightSlice will be on display at LDI at digiLED USA's booth #872 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Peter Daniel and Anne Johnston will be there Friday, Oct. 23. The LightSlice is just that -- a slice of lightweight 10mm resolution LED video strip for indoor or outdoor use. It was designed for events requiring creative video solutions which do not conform to the module & panel format of standard LED screens. The LightSlice strips can be oriented in curved, splayed, and organic formations to complement stage and set designs. LightSlice is available in 500mm, 1000mm, and 1500mm lengths (20mm high) and can be attached to multiple types of surfaces, using six varied mounting options for truss, decking, scaffolding, and custom structures. The LightSlice can create a display as big as needed, the company says, with pieces placed end to end and multiple Navigator NVs keeping it under control. Instead of external control boxes, slave units, or power supplies, the micro-PSU and data cards are loaded into the chassis of the LightSlice. This translates into reduced weight in shipping and rigging. Should there be an issue with the power and data, a replacement unit clicks in within seconds to solve the issue. "The design possibilities for LightSlice's stunning visual effects are endless for TV, live events, and trade show sets," Daniel says. "We regularly add new technology to our rental inventory, so stay tuned for more product news to come."
