Firefly Festival Grows with Bandit LitesBandit Lites continues its summer of festivals with The Firefly Music Festival, where over 60,000 people came out to the 87-acre field known as "The Woodlands," part of the Dover Nascar Speedway complex. The three day event began on June 21, where acts such Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Vampire Weekend, Public Enemy, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Foster the People wowed the audience. Produced by Red Frog Events, the Firefly Festival has been hailed as "The East Coast's Premiere Music Experience." While only in its second year, the number of attendees this year more than doubled, in addition to rocketing from 48 performances to 71. In addition to providing Foster the People's massive headline system for the mainstage on Sunday, Bandit also provided the full lighting systems for the three other primary stages. "It is truly amazing how well this festival has been received in such a very short space of time," said production director Dizzy Gosnell of Bandit. "Red Frog has created a go-to event for East Coast music fans" he continued. "We are so proud to be involved with this show and working with Hadden Hippsley, Joel Carmichael, Paul Dalen, Joe Gordon, and Tuffy Knight again." The equipment list included Bandits' GRN Lite products, which provide vivid looks with LED lights that conserve energy. Fixtures included the GRN 8 Lite, GRN Lamp bar, and GRN Moving Washes. Additional fixtures include VL 3000 spots and a grandMA 1 full console. See Bandit Lites at PLASA Focus: Nashville, February 18-19, 2014.
