Meyer Sound at InfoComm 2011

With audio technology, it's what you hear that counts, and Meyer Sound is emphasizing that point at its demo room and show booth at this year's InfoComm with live presentations of the Constellation acoustic system, D-Mitri digital audio platform, and recently introduced loudspeakers, including the JM-1P arrayable loudspeaker and MINA line array loudspeaker.

In Meyer Sound's demo room W203A, visitors will experience the compact MINA line array loudspeaker along with the JM-1P arrayable loudspeaker, which allows pinpoint control of horizontal coverage in stand-alone or arrayed configurations. The demonstrations will also include the D-Mitri digital audio platform, which employs the AVB (Audio/Video Bridging) standards. D-Mitri will showcase its pivotal role as a comprehensive AV production solution by controlling not only dynamic surround sound effects but also complex lighting effects and video cues.

On Booth 832 on the show floor, another schedule of listening sessions -- all featuring live music -- will demonstrate how the Constellation acoustic system creates realistic acoustical environments that range from an intimate recital hall to a cathedral. Constellation employs D-Mitri as its underlying digital audio platform.

Meyer Sound's self-powered low-voltage loudspeakers have garnered considerable attention in the installation market for projects that place an emphasis on both aesthetics and sonic quality. On display at the booth will be the full lineup, including the UP-4XP (121 dB SPL @ 1m) ultracompact loudspeaker, the MM-10 miniature subwoofer, and the MM-4XP self-powered miniature loudspeaker (4"-square faceplate) shown in a palette of custom colors. The CAL column array loudspeaker, which features advanced beam steering algorithms for maintaining pristine audio performance, will also be shown.

Implemented in D-Mitri and CAL, AVB is an emerging standard for AV networking over Ethernet. Learn more about AVB by attending the AVnu Alliance panel discussion on Wednesday June 15 from 2:30-4:00 PM, or by visiting the AVnu Alliance Technology Pavilion on booth 383e.
