Italian Broadcaster RTL 102.5 Hit Radio Selects Analog Way NeXtage 16-4K to Drive New LED Videowall RTL 102.5 Hit Radio has chosen Analog Way's NeXtage 16 - 4K seamless AV processor to drive a new LED videowall. Headquartered near Milan, RTL 102.5 is a private Italian radio broadcaster, which broadcasts content over FM, DAB, DVB-T, DVB-S, and the Internet. It was the first Italian radio station with the contemporary hits format. "We broadcast the same content on radio and television and wanted to improve the appearance of our studios by installing an LED videowall," says technical manager Stefano Pretoni. "The LED wall shows graphics and music videos and acts as the backdrop for our video set." He learned about Analog Way equipment from a friend and selected the NeXtage 16 to drive the 6.5m x 1.5m videowall, which displays a single image or multiple windows over an animated background. "We chose Analog Way for its low latency and its reputation for reliability," Pretoni explains. "Although the system is very powerful it also has an easy-to-use interface that we like." The inputs of the NeXtage 16 are connected to the station's video router with HD SDI connections. The system is operated by the station's staff of technicians. "Everything is working great, and everyone is pleased with the LED videowall and NeXtage 16's performance," Pretoni says. "We've found everything we needed in the Analog Way system."
