ETC's CUE Conference Draws Big Names Next month, ETC will host its first-ever end-user event, CUE (Create, Understand, Experience), where lighting professionals and enthusiasts will have the opportunity to network, share ideas, and learn more about ETC's award-winning products. The list of presenters for the conference includes industry luminaries whose lighting talents have graced some of the world's biggest stages. Jason Lyons, who has signed on as a keynote speaker for CUE. Lyons is a Broadway lighting designer with such credits as The Threepenny Opera, Good Vibrations, Fiddler on the Roof, and the recent hit Rock of Ages. He will address the CUE crowd on Wednesday, July 27, to share some of the insights he's gained from his years working on and off Broadway. Victor Seastone, an ETC field service coordinator and Broadway lighting programmer who has worked on shows like American Idiot, Bye Bye Birdie, Les Misérables, 110 in the Shade, and the Tony Award-winning War Horse, will also be a presenter at CUE. Seastone will join Eos product manager Anne Valentino in leading the "Program like a Pro" session. The pair will share tips on how to simplify and improve programming techniques on any console, with Seastone sharing his experience from Broadway. The list of CUE presenters also includes a cast of ETC employees who develop, produce, and service the products that have made ETC a global leader in lighting and rigging. The employees' résumés feature decades of experience out in the field, and a unique understanding of the lighting needs of end-users, which guarantees spirited discussions at CUE. To learn more about the CUE instructors and presenters, and to register for the event, visit the CUE page on ETC's website.
