Hunter's A Case for the Existence of God, a two-hander about loneliness in Idaho; the Irish Rep's revival of Samuel Beckett's Endgame, Brian Watkins' mystical comedy Epiphany; and Titanique, a musical spoof of the famous film, using numbers from the Celine Dion songbook. Earning four nominations apiece are Downstate, Bruce Norris' scalding drama about a group home for sex offenders; the Broadway-bound revival of the Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical Merrily We Roll Along, and Victor I.
