Varona Produccion Técnica S.L. Invest in Prolights Astra Wash19Pix

Spanish audiovisual company Varona Producción Técnica S.L. has recently invested in 24 Prolights Astra Wash19Pix moving washes to be directly supplied to the Oviedo Opera "Adriana Lecouvrer," and other upcoming events around Spain.

The Santander-based company was looking for a multipurpose wash light that could be used in different applications like Opera or live productions. "We got to know about the Astra Wash19Pix through Seesound, Prolights' distributor in Spain, and right from the beginning we were impressed," says Marcos Varona Ferrer, managing director of Varona Producciones. Varona adds: "We liked how versatile these units are, where we're able to create a classic-looking tungsten wash, but easily change it to complex pixel effects."

The Astra Wash19Pix is one of the latest moving washes from Prolights, and it includes 19x 40W RGBW Osram LEDs and an external pixel ring. It has a zoom range between 4° to 54° and a brand-new optical system that enhances the light output whilst preventing dust deposits and scratches. "The color is pretty outstanding," comments Varona, adding: "we were amazed by how vivid the colors are and how great they look on camera and on stage. I also liked its excellent range of pastel to saturated colors, its light weight and that it has Wireless DMX included as standard. We look forward to working on many productions with the Astra Wash19Pix!"
