Freeman Audio Visual Canada President Inducted into Meetings + Incentive Travel Hall of FameFreeman Audio Visual announces that Johanne Bélanger, president of the Canada division, will be inducted into Meetings + Incentive Travel's (M+IT) 2014 Hall of Fame in the industry builder category. Launched six years ago, M+IT's Hall of Fame program recognizes and celebrates individuals who have distinguished themselves in the Canadian meetings and incentive travel industry. The industry builder category honors an individual planner or supplier who has developed best practices, created professional guidelines, and/or built a product, service or organization that has improved the way the industry conducts its day-to-day business, added to the industry's overall foundation, and left a legacy. Hall of Fame inductees are selected from nominations put forth by industry peers. "The judges were deeply impressed by Johanne's initiatives to make Freeman Audio Visual a socially responsible company and her leadership and involvement in the creation of the Events for Communities of Sustainability (ECOS) Project with MPI chapters across Canada," said Lori Smith, editor of Meetings + Incentive Travel. "They also wanted to recognize and honor Johanne's ongoing efforts as an advocate for women striving for leadership roles in the audio visual sector for live events." M+IT magazine is Canada's voice of the business events community. MeetingsCanada.com is the official website of M+IT magazine and the annual IncentiveWorks Trade Show & Conference. Bélanger will be welcomed in to the Hall of Fame at a special live ceremony on August 19, 2014, the opening day of IncentiveWorks, Canada's largest event for professionals who plan, organize, or influence meetings and events.
