The latest addition to CHAUVET Professional's Maverick Storm family, the Maverick Storm 1 Flex is an IP65-rated spot/beam/wash that, the company says, projects a flat, even field of light from its LED engine. The latter is used instead of a lamp, so there are no ugly hotspots, even at the narrowest zoom. (The zoom range is 2.6 to over 50 degrees.) The unit projects a consistently even field light that makes it easy to blend multiple units of this fixture for aerial or textured wall effects.

The unit's dual gobo wheels feature seven rotating positions and ten static positions; it also offers one combination static-and-rotating gobo that can be used for mood-setting gradient effects.

Other features include a variable CMY+CTO color mixing system, CRI and CTB filters on its color wheel, and a higher CRI chip for added color rendering flexibility. An animation wheel produces textured effects. Digital dimming with a 16-bit dimming of the master dimmer allows seamless control of fades, the company adds.

The fixture offers DMX, CRMX, sACN, and Art-Net. Also provided is RDM control over DMX for fixture reporting. A time-saver for crews is the fixture's three setup menu presets and preset sync for cross-loading to multiple like fixtures.
