Christie Launches Three Upgraded G Series Projectors at ISE

Christie's Q Series one-chip DLP projector will debut at ISA.

Christie welcomes three upgraded Christie G Series projectors to its powerful one-chip DLP line-up at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) show in Amsterdam February 4 - 6, exhibiting in booth 1-H50. Providing 6,000 lumens and WXGA/HD/WUXGA resolution, the three new Christie G Series models raise the benchmark of single-lamp, high brightness one-chip DLP performance.

Also debuting at ISE is Christie Q Series. The one-chip DLP projector with a sophisticated design delivers performance with brightness options ranging from 8,500 to 10,000 lumens and XGA, WXGA, and WUXGA resolutions.

Boasting 6,000 lumens and a single-lamp design, the company says the upgraded Christie G Series is the brightest in its category and provides the image quality, brightness, and dependability that is essential for presentations in board and conference rooms. For higher education, government facilities, and houses of worship with limited budgets, the Christie G Series delivers the cost effective solution combined with long-life DLP technology needed in such environments.

A new category in the upgraded Christie G Series is the Christie DWX600-G with WXGA resolution. The Christie DWX600-G is ideal for applications where the superior image quality of one-chip DLP and high brightness are vital but high resolution is secondary. Each upgraded Christie G Series projector is also equipped with a six-segment color wheel for the widest possible color range and more natural, vibrant images. Now shipping with a standard lens included, end users can also choose from a suite of optional lenses.

"As customer expectations change and grow, Christie is in the vanguard of providing brighter and better one-chip DLP solutions for a variety of installations and with two upgraded models and a brand new WXGA model, Christie has a complete line-up of one-chip DLP solutions for every presentation need," said Curtis Lingard, technical product manager, Christie. "The upgraded Christie G Series is durable and suitable for demanding environments such as signage and museums where the projector will be on for long periods of time. Unique to this class of projectors, the upgraded G Series also delivers multi-projector blends onto curved surfaces seamlessly and effortlessly for a perfect image every time."

Installation is straightforward with features like optional wireless connectivity and input options including HDMI, DVI, and DisplayPort. When it comes to authentic images, the dynamic contrast feature boosts contrast ratios up to 4800:1 and picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture functionality provide flexible display options.

The Christie DWU600-G replaces the DWU550-G and the Christie DHD600-G replaces the DHD550-G. Along with a boost in brightness, the new G Series models also offer 33-percent longer lamp life over the previous models and are equipped with DICOM (digital imaging and communications in medicine) simulation mode for training purposes.

The Christie Q Series one-chip DLP platform with brightness options ranging from 8,500 to 10,000 lumens and XGA, WXGA, and WUXGA resolutions is equipped with eClarity -- advanced image processing that significantly enhances images by providing greater control over image sharpness, gloss, and shading. With built-in high dynamic contrast range (HDCR), image "washout" in high ambient light conditions is eliminated by adjusting the dynamic contrast to recapture detail lost by excess ambient light on the screen. Christie Q Series is also equipped with DICOM (digital imaging and communications in medicine) simulation mode for training purposes, all in an elegant design.

"Whether displayed in portrait or landscape mode, Christie Q Series sets an industry benchmark for brightness and flexibility in this category of one-chip DLP," said Frank Anzures, senior product manager, Christie. "With the finest digital display tools available combined with an unsurpassed commitment to one-chip DLP solutions, end users have peace of mind with Christie."

With the built-in dual color wheel, users can quickly choose between two color wheels to select the one that best suits their content and application.

"The High-Brightness color wheel provides superior whites for better graphic presentations while the ultra rich-color wheel provides an expanded color gamut that rivals cinema color space," said Anzures. "The Q Series is also equipped with an automation function that allows for easy switching between the color wheels."

For rental staging applications including concerts, conventions, and other events where visuals are a vital component, end users will recognize the Q Series' difference when blending or warping images from multiple projectors onto flat, curved, hexagonal, or spherical surfaces.

Usable in either single lamp or dual lamp mode, Christie Q Series models include the Christie DXG1051, Christie DWX951, and the Christie DWU951. Both Q Series and G Series ship in March with a three-year warranty, backed by Christie's customer service and support.
