coolux Hosts Successful First Expert Warping Training From November 21-24, an international group of AV industry professionals attended coolux's first expert warping training at the company's headquarters in Cologne, Germany. In very general terms, warping describes the process of mapping and ultimately projecting media content in a way that does not distort the image seen, a key ability when it comes to realizing architectural projections and brand presentations that could involve e.g. projections onto fully sized cars. Due to the ever-growing popularity of commercial warping applications, coolux decided to expand its training portfolio to include classes dedicated exclusively to advanced warping skills. During the four intensive training days, participants were able to broaden their theoretical knowledge and gain extremely valuable hands-on experience. Some of the topics covered included projector choice; the importance of shadow control; a GMAX introduction and working with the new coolux Pandoras Box Version 5 camera and output controls. At the end of this new training class, all participants were awarded with an official coolux certificate of completion.
