Full Compass Systems Hosts How-To Church Sound Workshop Full Compass Systems, the professional audio/video retailer, hosted a HOW-TO Church Sound Workshop on April 30. The workshop, which sold out quickly, brought house-of-worship sound volunteers and technicians to Full Compass' 4,200-sq.-ft. studio for a full day of training. Led by professional sound engineer Mike Sokol, attendees were able to get hands-on instruction as they sat at dedicated individual console work stations. Fits & Starts Productions, LLC is the producer of the HOW-TO Workshops. The organization travels more than 40,000 miles each year training house of worship AV volunteers in 36 cities across the United States. "Since our individual schedules are so busy," says managing partner Hector La Torre, "I was enormously pleased to be able to work with such a stellar operation as Full Compass. While we usually work with host churches, when the opportunity to work with Full Compass' professional staff arose, we jumped at it." Attendees took part in an eight-hour day of training, and also had the opportunity to see the latest AV equipment in the Full Compass showroom. Roxanne Wenzel, Full Compass' VP of sales and marketing, said, "We were extremely pleased with the quality of the instruction that Fits & Starts provided for the HOW-TO Workshop. Our attendees learned everything they need to handle their church sound in a professional manner. We're looking forward to hosting more workshops in the future."
