Algerian Autos Come Alive With PR Lighting XL Beam 300 PR Lighting's Algerian distributor, NEOSUN, has supplied production specialists, HANS Company, with quantities of XL Beam 300's to enable the production company to showcase a number of leading car brands at the recent Salon International de l'Automobile d'Alger (14th Algerian Motor Show). NEOSUN has been working with PR Lighting since 2009, initially placing small orders before developing a much larger slice of the market with the Chinese manufacturer's components. One of their major customers has been HANS Company, confirms NEOSUN sales executive, Salim Derradji. Working alongside the car manufacturers' advertising and promotional agencies, the service providers turned to the innovative XL Beam 300s in their rental fleet. "XL Beam 300 is new type of moving head, with special features not found with competitors' brands -- so our client was pleased to be able to provide a different solution," said Mr. Derradji. "We find PR Lighting to be an extremely professional company." Based around the 300W Philips MSR Gold 300/2 Fast Fit lamp, with 22,000 lumens output and 750 hours lamp life the fully-featured fixture comprises a linear CYM color mixing system with macro function, and a wheel with seven dichroic colors (plus white), offering a variable speed bi-directional rainbow effect. The XL Beam 300 also contains a rotating wheel with seven interchangeable gobos (plus white) -- indexable and rotatable bi-directionally at variable speeds -- plus a gobo shake function. The Iris and Dimmer are 0-100% linearly adjustable (offering variable beam angles and frosting). At the Motor Show, the fixtures were mostly suspended from square or triangular truss sections. For SOVAC, importers of Volkswagen and Audi, HANS Company installed eight heads for the official press opening, while for the full ten-day duration of the show, Citroen was lit by three XL Beam 300's and Nissan with four (HANS Company owner Mr. Djafer, designing the sets for both brands. For the SOVAC presentation, the white ambience matched the look of the white VW cars, and finally Dacia also used four of PR Lighting's Pilot 1200 Spots to highlight their presentation. Now the company is preparing for summer festival season and the month of Ramadhan. "At this time the demand from our rental customers will increase, mainly during Ramadhan, when we want to take the opportunity to introduce the new PR-5000 Beam," stated Derradji. With a high and efficient optic system, the PR 5000 Beam delivers a solid powerful beam from a 1,500W discharge lamp; with a 6° beam angle it features high light output, very fast strobe, wireless receiver, and is firmware updatable via computer. Released alongside is the advanced PR 5000 Spot -- a wide beam moving head, with 10°-67°linearly adjustable zoom and offering the same strobing and computer upgradable features as the beam.
