Allen & Heath Announces SQ-Rack Addition to SQ SeriesSQ-Rack is an addition to Allen & Heath's SQ Series that combines SQ's 96kHz XCVI core with comprehensive connectivity and flexible control options -- packed into a compact 4U rack-mount form factor with multiple mounting options. SQ-Rack is built on 96kHz XCVI SQ core, delivering 48 input channels of pristine audio quality, the company says, with phase coherent mixes and ultra-low latency in a convenient, shallow 4U rack-mounted unit. SQ-Rack is a versatile solution, featuring local I/O alongside an intelligent SLink port, integrating seamlessly with Allen & Heath's Everything I/O ecosystem. Expand further with option cards for Dante, Waves, MADI, or additional SLink capabilities. Multichannel USB support enables easy recording and playback, whether connecting to a computer or directly to an external drive. With a dedicated fader screen, customizable SQ-Control display, and tactile hands-on controls, users can work with maximum efficiency. The SQ-MixPad, SQ-4You, and SQ-Control apps offer unmatched flexibility, the company says, allowing operators to take command from anywhere. Product manager Keith Johnson remarks, "We've had many requests over recent years for a rack mount SQ, with no faders, so we built it! I'm proud of the SQ-Rack control options, easy touchscreen access to faders and the 'SQ-Control' screen and App, giving quick access and simplified custom control." Nicola Beretta, director of product, adds "SQ-Rack is designed for versatility. Ideal for installations that need band mixing, setups without an FOH position, or delivering consistent, high-quality IEM mixes on tour."
