PreSonus Eris XT Monitors Deliver Superior Frequency Response and Wide DispersionPreSonus is now shipping the new Eris XT active studio monitors, featuring an all new elliptical waveguide design that provides a wider sweet spot and more focused vertical dispersion, making them a perfect fit for any nearfield mix environment. Larger enclosures afford an extended low-frequency response that complements the new high-frequency design. The new custom elliptical waveguide design provides superior high-frequency response with a broad 100-degree horizontal dispersion to expand the sweet spot. The tightly focused 60-degree vertical dispersion minimizes early reflections, helping to eliminate one of the most common sources of environmental interference, creating a more consistent response both on- and off-axis. The result is greater detail and depths that reveal subtle transients, delicate reverb trails, and a consistent listening experience in any mix environment. In addition, the XT models' ported enclosure is larger than that of the original E5 and E8, allowing them to reproduce significantly lower frequencies. Available in addition to the original Eris E5, the E5 XT features a 5.25" woven composite woofer and 1" silk dome tweeter, backed by 80W of biamped, Class AB power to deliver up to 102dB SPL. Its frequency response ranges from 48Hz to 20kHz. Replacing the original Eris E8, the E8 XT is equipped with an 8" woofer and 1.25" tweeter powered by 140W of biamped, Class AB amplification and can crank out up to 105dB SPL. Its frequency response ranges from 35Hz to 20kHz. Like all PreSonus studio monitors, Eris XT monitors provide acoustic tuning controls that allow you to configure the speakers perfectly for your room. You get Low-cut, Mid, and High controls, as well as three-way acoustic space tuning that allows you to easily compensate for the sonic consequences of speaker placement against a wall or in a corner. Eris XT monitors provide balanced XLR, balanced ΒΌ", and unbalanced RCA line-level inputs, so you can hook them up to an audio interface, analog or digital mixer, monitor controller, or almost any other line-level source. Eris monitors also have safety features to reduce the chance of accidental damage including protection against RF interference, output current limiting, over-temperature protection, power on and off transients, an external mains fuse and subsonic protection. Suitable for any audio mix or production application that demands consistent, accurate performance, the new Eris XT monitors are available now at PreSonus.
