Announcing the 2023 URTA Designer & Technician Showcase at LDI URTA is once again partnering with LDI to present the URTA Designer and Technician Showcase at LDI. The Showcase will take place at the LDI show in Las Vegas on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 11am - 6pm in the Foster the Future Lounge in the Expo Hall. The one-day event provides designers and technicians the opportunity to present their work and network with potential graduate school recruiters and employers. There is no additional fee to take part in the URTA Designer & Technician Showcase, however participants must be registered to attend the LDI show. Showcase space is limited and participants are strongly encouraged to pre-register at urta.com/LDI to reserve their place by November 12, 2023. Walk-ins will be accepted on site as space allows. All pre-registered participants for the URTA Showcase will receive a FREE LDI Expo Hall pass. The URTA Showcase will be particularly valuable for current students (both undergrad and grad), recent graduates, and early-career designers and technicians, the company says. The showcase compliments other LDI programming, including the Career Day (Saturday) and the Portfolio & Website Review (Saturday) where designers can receive professional feedback on their portfolios ahead of the URTA Showcase. An LDI Expo Hall Pass is all that is required to access the URTA Showcase, and all pre-registered showcase participants will receive a discount code to redeem for a free expo hall pass. URTA asks that you share the info above about the URTA Designer and Technician Showcase at LDI with your current students, recent graduates, current and former apprentices and interns, and any early-career designers & technicians that may be interested. There are no age or educational experience requirements for participation, however the company feels the URTA Showcase at LDI will be particularly beneficial to designers and technicians in their final year of their MFA or undergraduate training, as well as for recent graduates. URTA invites you to join us at the URTA Showcase at LDI to review portfolios and meet with the designers and technicians showcasing their work. This is NOT a formalized URTA recruiting event. Attendees are welcome to stop by to view portfolios and speak with the showcase participants anytime during the event (Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 11am - 6pm). The showcase will be held in the Foster the Future Lounge on the LDI show floor. All LDI participants are invited to visit the showcase and network with the designers and technicians. No additional registration is required, however the showcase will be held on the LDI show floor, and registration for LDI is required to access the Expo Hall (see ldishow.com for details).
