Chauvet at SHO, New Fort Lauderdale Club SHO Nightclub, an 8,500-sq.-.ft club that opened on South Las Olas Boulevard in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida earlier this year, features a variety of Chauvet Lighting gear including six Q-Spot 260 LED moving heads, four LED Techno Strobe lights, four Intimidator Scan LED scanners, and 14 COLORdash PAR, 60 ILUMINARC Ilumipod LOGIC 12 ), two ILUMINARC Ilumiline LOGIC 12, and eight ILUMINARC Ilumiline LOGIC 24 wash lights. Jay Krause of Sound and Lighting Solutions is behind the club's lighting design and Andy Kostas formulated the interior design. Twelve recessed Ilumipod LOGIC 12 wash lights provide downlighting to the club's rectangular bar while 14 Chauvet COLORdash PAR wash lights, six Chauvet Q-Spot 260 LED moving heads and four LED Techno Strobe lights illuminate the dance floor and exclusive VIP areas. Eight Ilumiline LOGIC 24 and two Ilumiline LOGIC 12 wash lights line the DJ booth set inside a wall-to-wall, red-velvet lined VIP area. The second floor, which includes additional VIP areas, a DJ booth, dance floor and bar, glows a serene, bluish-green color as 45 recessed Ilumipod LOGIC 12 wash lights provide downlight for the space and four CHAUVET Intimidator Scan LED scanners project richly saturated gobos that dance on the floor and walls. Luis Goenaga, sound and lighting director at SHO Nightclub, says, "The lighting installed at SHO is so versatile that one night it can feel like an elegant lounge and the next night it's transformed to a mind-blowing club environment," Goenaga said. "Changing the ambiance from one end of the spectrum to another can be done with the flick of a switch."
